Hello I have the honor of being the current president of the Detroit Story League, an organization of wonderful and diverse storytellers. This group of people who meet at local libraries on the third Saturday of the month gives not only to opportunity to hear others tell and to tell myself but also an opportunity to network and tell and learn about the craft of storytelling.  On my cards you will see two quotes "There is always a story, be a shame not to share it!" And of course "Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, For thou would be crispy and good with sauce." These two statements tell you a great deal about me and how I look at the world. I come from a family who could no more stop telling stories than we could stop breathing. As I look  about each day I see stories and adventures everywhere, in the people and events that fill each of our lives. My stories then are of a personal nature but they are places I hope where you will recognize the characters and events that make them up for we are all the same inside. Since you know me as DragonStory, you know that I have an affinity for those wonderful firebreathing creatures who have peopled our imaginations for millennia. As we depart from the everyday into the mystical world of myth, legend and folktales we can see ourselves and each other through a new prism. So let us begin and tell each other our stories! And keep the Dragon's fire alive!
